On April 22, 2023 our sustainable neighborhood group ran a booth all about the “Sustainable Yard” at Lakewood’s Earth Day Celebration. We shared information about how to rebuild the soil in your yard and garden.
Bring extra seeds and swap with others who have extras too. Even if you don’t have seeds to share, please join us for a fun afternoon in the park.

The Citywide Paint Recycling event was on Saturday, October 15th, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 11500 W. 20th Ave., Lakewood. We got together at the northeast corner of the Lakewood Park parking lot to pick up trash. It was a big success! We’ll probably have another one in late winter / early spring of 2023.
We picked apples throughout the neighborhood.
