Leaf Drop-off and Pick-up for Composting – Sunday, November 8th
WHAT?
Compost your fallen leaves instead of putting them in the garbage!
WHEN?
Sunday, November 8th, 11am-1pm
WHERE?
Drop bagged leaves off at South Lakewood Elementary Community Garden (in front of South Lakewood Elementary at 8425 W 1st Ave)
WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT LEAVES! NO branches, plant stems, woody brush or tree stumps. We will inspect bags and will not accept any bags that have yard waste that are not leaves.
Can’t haul the leaves there yourself? We can also pick up your bagged leaves on Sunday, November 8th. Please make sure bagged leaves are at the curb by 11am and email us (info@southof6th.org) your street address by Friday, November 6th to get on our pickup list.
Due to the popularity of this event, we can only pickup leaves in the South of 6th Sustainable Neighborhood area: bounded by Kipling Street, Wadsworth Boulevard, West 6th Avenue, and West Alameda Avenue.
Miss this event? Lakewood has leaf recycling every weekend November 7th through November 22nd. See Lakewood’s Leaf Recycling webpage for more information.
