Adapting to Drought

Denver Water recently declared a Stage 1 drought and most of the water districts serving Lakewood residents receive their water from Denver Water and follow Denver Water’s watering restrictions.

Drought restrictions limit watering this year to two days per week (based on your address), and only between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. on assigned days. Keep automated sprinkler systems off until mid- to late-May. Hand-water trees and shrubs, if needed.

Please review Denver Water’s summer watering rules, and contact your local water provider for additional details.

See the In your yard and garden section of our Resources pages for more on reducing outdoor water use.
